A Law of Attraction Lesson

Since I first heard of "The Law of Attraction", I have been fascinated with the subject.  I have read every book, e-book, blog etc. that I could find. One of the more challenging aspects (to me anyway) was to let go of your fear surrounding money. That feeling of scarcity, never having enough, all of that.

Sometimes I backslide and say to myself, is this real, am I too lazy to do the mental work involved, or do I sub-consciously just not believe it.  Recently I proved to myself that I really am starting to get it.  At the Pagan festival that my friend Ametrine and I attended on Sunday (see previous post) we found a vendor selling wonderful rocks and crystals. One of my admitted weaknesses, I have been a rock hound all my life.

So, I know, get to the point.  I always ramble when something is exciting.  So, anyway, we were admiring all the wonderful wares and we made our purchases. Before leaving the festival, we went back to see if we wanted to buy anything else.  There were two crystals, a citrine point and a smoky quartz that were calling my name.  Neither of the stones had a price tag. I picked them up, handed them to the vendor and said, "I will take these".  I did not ask the price, I was not afraid to commit to something that I wanted, and I had NO FEAR that I could not afford the items.  It did not sink in to me until later, that I really have absorbed some valuable lessons regarding the Law of Attraction.  This will be a great motivator for me when I begin to backslide yet again.

A Pagan Day

Friends + Wine + Crystals = Natural Magick
The Sacred Crossroads Association organized a Pagan Pride festival at our beautiful local park.  The gathering was small, but very enjoyable.  There were some wonderful musicians, a cute belly-dancer, and some great vendors.  My friend, Ametrine and I attended and came home with some cool magickal goodies.  Hop on over to her blog "The Witchy Pooch Is In" at www.ametrineknowingwillow.blogspot.com for some pics from the day.

I appreciated the intent of the gathering, which I believe was to help educate people about different spiritual paths.  However, I did not care for the slogan they chose.  Pagan and Proud.  It had a defiant tone to me and conjured up images of protestors and stone-throwers. (of which there were none, I am happy to say).  Too "in your face" for me, just as I do not care to have the "other" organized religions telling me I am going to burn in hell if I do not follow their ways.

Okay that was my short rant for today and the opinions expressed belong solely to Cytrine Love Ravenfire and not the blogspot venue.

Take good care...

"If you take good care of something, it will live for a long time".

I am sure that when you read that statement, you thought of your own health, maybe your partner, child or pets health.  Possibly even your houseplants and garden.

When I see that statement, I see taking care of your dreams.  If you take good care of your hopes and dreams and wishes, they will live a good long life.  How many times have you been inspired with a great idea and start out with energy and excitement, only to lose momentum after a short while?  We let the reality of our daily life and choices get in the way and overtake our dreams and desires.  I know that when I  was young, I was going to be an artist, a great fashion designer, and a writer. Yes, all that!   Somehow I let life and my choices take me away from that dream.  I did not nurture it the way that you love something should be nurtured.  Even tho I neglected my dreams and allowed them to wilt and almost die, they still struggle for life.  They hang on and have stayed loyal and never left me.  I would never let my pets be hungry or thirsty or neglected, so why did I never understand that my dreams were also a living thing, a part of me that I loved very much?

My dreams are still with me and I make a promise to them today, that I will give them the love, care and nourishment that they deserve so that they can thrive and be joyful!

Make a promise today to take good care of your dreams, so that they may live for a long time.

Willow Wood Spirit

I live on magickal ground that I truly believe is "Enchanted".

Hence this blog and most of my art and writing is inspired by.

Lurking amongst our Willow Trees is this wonderful wood spirit and his dog.  He is a spirit of immense wisdom and his dog is the spirit of loyalty.  I have learned many lessons from these willow dwellers.

Looks like my wild sunflower has magickally made some new friends, much to the delight of the birds and bees!

Kitten in a Zen moment

My sweet kitten appears like she is deep in meditation.  If only I could learn how to do that!

Unexpected Day Off

Due to flooding in our area this week, I had an unexpected day off from work. So, you may ask, "What to do with this gift of time"?  Create art, of course!  How about a Witchy Goddess.

Gratitude Every Day!

We are having serious flooding here in the Northeast.  This year we have heard on the news about flooding, tornadoes, wildfires, droughts and all manner of tragic natural events.

I have worked very hard the last few years to really "amp up" my level of gratitude and appreciation for all the wonderful things in my life, and especially how great my life is each and every day.  I am on a path to live simply, but beautifully.  For me this means being very selective about the "material things" that I choose to acquire.  I realize that there are so many more important things in life, such as freedom, friends, family and the memories you create over time, that cannot be duplicated.

My heart goes out to all the people who have lost so many things during these natural disasters and my sincere wish for them is that they come out of it with a whole new meaning of "gratitude" in their lives.  Slow down and realize that everything can be gone in a moment.  Appreciate the people and pets that are in your life, including yourself, every single day.  Start that gratitude journal you have been thinking about.  Tell people you love them.  Take extra special care of any and all animals you have chosen to bring into your lives. Take extra special care of you.

You do not need "stuff and clutter" in your life,  you need basic essentials, beauty and most of all LOVE!
